Amaze offers information, advice and support to families of children and young people (0-25) with special educational needs and disabilities who live or go to school in Brighton and Hove.
By ‘families’ we mean we support the parent carers, and their children and young people. We also offer Independent Support with EHC planning to parent carers and young people in both Brighton and Hove and West Sussex. And we run the Compass Card leisure discount scheme in both Brighton and Hove and West Sussex.
You do not need to have an identified special educational need or disability to call our helpline. We are happy to hear from anyone in the Brighton and Hove area who has a query about a child or young person’s development (or their own development) or the services they receive or should receive.
Most Amaze services only cover the Brighton and Hove area so your child needs to either:
- live in Brighton & Hove
- go to pre-school, school or college in Brighton & Hove
- be a Brighton & Hove ‘looked after’ child.

If you’re not from Brighton, there is a lot of useful information on this website which you are very welcome to read or download. Take a look at our Advice for Parents section.
