18-25 hours per week (flexible depending on availability)
Salary: NJC Scale Point 18 to 21 (£18,070-£20,138 FTE)
Fixed term contract until March 2018
Amaze is a small, award winning, local charity that gives information, advice and support to parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We are also developing services for young people with SEND.
Amaze manages the statutory children and young people’s disability registers for Brighton and Hove City Council and West Sussex County Council (‘Compass Brighton and Hove’ and ‘Compass West Sussex’). All children and young people on these registers receive a free leisure incentive card, the ‘Compass Card’, giving them discounts and special deals in their local area.
We are looking for a Data Entry Assistant to perform high volume, accurate, data entry as well as being a central point of contact about the scheme, providing information to families on the phone and by email. The post is based in the Amaze office in central Brighton.
You will need to have experience of data entry and database systems, and will need to be well-organised, with good verbal and written communication skills. You will need to have a good understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the principles of data protection, and a basic understanding of the issues faced by parents of children and young people with SEND.
The deadline for applications is 5pm Monday 24 April 2017. Interviews will be held on Tuesday 2 May 2017.
