Families go wild for the giant Amaze water slide

A huge thank you to over 800 Sliders who joined us last Saturday 15th of July for the first Amazing 100m Water Slide to raise money for Amaze.

Located in Wild Park, the slide ran 100m from the steep top area down to the smooth level and it proved so fast and exciting that we’ve already had lots of requests from thrillseekers for us to do it again next year!

The day was not without drama – our water tanker was stuck in a three hour traffic jam after a very nasty accident on the M25 – but luckily our friends at East Sussex Fire and Rescue who had been planning to attend the event anyway came to our rescue and helped to fill the slide with water until the tanker arrived. Councillor Mo Marsh, Mayor of Brighton and Hove, cut the red ribbon at around 11.30am when the first daredevil participants took to the water.

The day was a great success and we think a terrific time was had by all, including Heart FM Presenters Nicola Hume and Jack Hayes who can be seen in action here: https://www.facebook.com/heartsussex/videos/vb.282764458415976/2004112006281204/?type=3&theater

We would like to thank everyone involved, in particular East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service, Heart FM, Brighton Council and J’s Café and Deli.
