Inclusion Funding for mainstream after school clubs and holiday play schemes to continue for further year
30 April 2018
For April 2018 to March 2019, the council will continue to fund inclusion for children of non-working parents who attend after-school clubs and holiday playschemes. To be eligible for inclusion funding, children will have to have an Education, Health and Care Plan, and/or be in receipt of Disability Living Allowance.
The council were considering ending inclusion funding at after school clubs and holiday play schemes for parents who aren’t working. The Parent Carers’ Council (PaCC) pointed out the impact this would have on parents caring for disabled children and the council have had a rethink.
Over the coming year the council will be working with PaCC to develop options for the future, including links with the Extended Day offer from the new special school hubs as this develops.
