English not your first language? SIS volunteer linguists can help you contact Amaze or access our services
5 April 2018
If so, Sussex Interpreting Services (SIS) offer drop-in sessions on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11am -1pm at the BMECP centre.
The drop-in is staffed by a team of volunteer linguists who can help you access services across Brighton & Hove. They can help with letter reading, making phone calls, making appointments, making referrals and completing simple forms.
If you’re a parent or carer whose first language is not English, you could use the drop in make initial contact with Amaze to see if we can help and work out whether we need to set up an appointment with a specific person here with an interpreter. They may also be able to make an appointment with you at another time, if you cannot make the drop in times.
And don’t forget that Amaze also produces leaflets about our services in Arabic, Bengali, Cantonese, Farsi, French, Mandarin, Polish and Portuguese. You can download our translated leaflets on our Amaze literature page.
