The Parent Carers' Council (PaCC) is a city-wide group for all parent carers who are responsible for children and young people with special needs, including ongoing health conditions, physical disabilities and learning disabilities.
PaCC is one of the projects supported by Amaze. It aims to help parents get more directly involved in the strategic delivery of services for disabled children in Brighton & Hove. Parents are trained as representatives to sit alongside professionals from the local authority on strategic boards. This ensures that the parent voice is heard when decisions are made that directly affect their children.
The Parent Carers’ Council have their own website with full details of their work and how to join. Visit the PaCC website here.
