workshops and courses

Amaze offers workshops, courses and information sessions for parents and for young people with special educational needs and disabilities

Amaze workshops, courses and information sessions are an opportunity to share experiences of being a parent carer or young person with additional needs and to learn more about useful topics. We believe life experience is as important as professional expertise so we aim to co-deliver our courses for parents with parent trainers, and involve young people with SEND in running activities for young people.

The topics covered by our workshops include SEN Support, EHC assessments and Annual Reviews, claiming disability benefits like DLA and PIP and transition to adulthood.

Since the start of the pandemic we have been delivering all our workshops and courses online, via Zoom. To see the full schedule of upcoming workshops and courses, visit our Events page.

We also publicise our courses and events on our Facebook page, and share information about courses and events run by other organisations but you may want to check out these other sources too:

The course was outstanding and I feel I learnt so much about the education system and resilience and so much more about myself.
